Walnut Street could not function without a valuable volunteer base who minister together for the purpose of making the gospel known and growing God's kingdom. Looking for a Flower Expert

Do you know about plants that thrive in the shade? Have you been looking for a place to plug in at church? We need you! We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable about plants for our church courtyard. If you or someone you know may be interested, please call Cindy Monfalcone at 992-9635!

CSM - IRP

Here are some ways to become involved in bringing hope into the lives of our neighborhood friends.

1. Volunteer in Infant Resource Project (IRP) to help a mother or family find hope and encouragement by providing diapers, wipes, formula and clothing.

2. Give two or three hours weekly to provide encouragement, food, personal care or financial assistance in Christian Social Ministries (CSM) to those in need.

Children’s Ministry

Immediate Need for Adults on Wednesdays

4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Activities Building!

A Wednesday Teacher is needed to build relationships with kids from our church and community for 2nd-5th grade using a great interactive curriculum.

Do you like to hang out? Chill? Play basketball (even if you never make a basket!)? Come be a Wednesday Player and join the exciting time happening from 4:15 - 6:00 p.m. (before House of Prayer).

Do you know how to do algebra, geometry, social studies? Come be a Homework Helper Wednesday nights on the third floor Activities Building. Some of our kids are struggling to get their work done by dinner and we need patient people to help them along. Please contact Rochell at (502) 992-9616.

Volunteers are needed weekly to work in our KidKare program. Volunteers are needed for the 8:30 a.m. worship time as well as the 11:00 a.m. worship time.

Upward Basketball

Walnut Street is joining churches around the world with Upward Sports, the world’s largest sports league for kids. Upward provides a positive and family-friendly sports experience that welcomes the entire community and gives priority to sharing the gospel! This will not happen without you! Volunteer opportunities for these fun kids sports include: Referee, Advertising Commissioner, Prayer Partner, Orientation Team, Half-Time Devotion Activity Team, Greeter, Scorekeeper, Concessions, Host Family, Set-Up and Clean-Up Crew, and other opportunities.

Activities Scheduling and Supervising

We are in need of two individuals to serve in scheduling for the events to take place in the Activities Building. You will need to be willing to learn how to use our computer software and have flexible hours. We are also in need of individuals to serve as supervisors during Activity Building hours of operation.
